Just had a surprise

Just heard back from D'Addario, they will replace the strap, that's great. They want the broken strap back of course to figure out what went wrong. Only one problem there was no mention about the $20 shipping fee it will cost for me to ship it back. Guess what that's not going to happen. I will go down to my local shop and show the Boy's possibly they will take care of it.

Was in the shop today, spotted these strap locks. Jim Dunlop.

Also D'Addario came through , they are replacing my strap, I said I didn't want the same one, I asked if they would let me pay a higher difference for another strap they make, so it was all worked out at the shop where I purchased it. For another $5 I get another strap, rather than getting the same strap. I have lost my confidence in that particular one.

DSC00252.JPG Well I picked up my new strap today, and picked up some of these Dunlop Strap locks. So now I have these on all 4 guitars, I like them because they don't protrude out far and with the black colour they blend in with the strap. So they don't stand out. I will see how they hold up, I have read some good reviews on them.

A word of caution about the Grolsch washers / Bonalocks, etc... They cause the screw in the strap lock to unscrew. We have seen several go to the floor with the Grolsch washers. If you use them, be sure to periodically check your upper horn straplock screw...
I concur and have stated this as well.
