Headphones with multi effects

Mates,

I have finally arranged a decent setup for playing through headphones, but an issue remains. When I play through headphones, I cannot gate the noise created by the OD pedals. The multiple effects gate is ineffective, as is a noise gate pedal in the signal chain. This does not make sense to me because if the OD works in the chain, the gate should also.

I then put the noise gate pedal in the chain of the headphones, and it did work, but it made the signal mono.

So, what can I do?

I don’t know what you’re using for a gate, but the second example in this video is the one that I use to quiet my drive pedal noise. I usually have 3 drive pedals in the noise gate loop.
The example that I refer to starts around 1:20 in.

I’ll state the obvious, put a left AND a right noise gate in the headphone chain :pound-hand:

This may or may not work, but my friend has one and it sounds nice as well as having useful headphone outputs (balanced 2.5 and a 3.5), a separate volume knob, so it might (???) do something for you.

On the downside, it's a rechargeable battery set-up which isn't particularly practical.
