What Are Your Top 10 Favorite Guitar Solos?

One more that deserves recognition - and if you think some of Randy Rhoad's solos are tough (Randy's solos are fast, but not that hard to replicate) try replicating Vernon Reid's solo in 'Cult of Personality.'

I am going to use ESGE's words here! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!! Now the song is stuck in my head and to me it's like finger nails down a chalk board. Same with most of the RHCP's ! HARD PASS!!! I never understood the praise that song gets....even back then! Thanks Robert :bash:

Robert I do like the fact you put "Die Hard The Hunter", you never hear people talk about that song but it to me is under rated! Gahr I completely agree about "Ride On",just a soulfull song all around, might be because it was my 1st AC/DC album I had ever heard. My twin Aunts (they were in High School) use to baby sit us and always brought records over! I was introduced to ...Queen - We Will Rock You , AC/DC - Dirty Deeds, Aerosmith - Draw The Line in 1 night....I blame them for me being a headbanger :dood:

Sorry, RobV!

I really dig the message In COP and i do love the "frantic" way Reid solo'd.

I share your RHCP sentiments. I can't get through a single one I'd their songs.

Let's see.....

1. Either live version from On Your Feet or on Your Knees by Blue Ӧyster Cult, it would be a tie with Astronomy or Then Came the Last Days of May.
2. Watermelons in Easter Hay by Frank Zappa
3. Ain't Dead Yet by Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush
4. To mix things up with David Gilmour, I'll go with "No Way" from his first solo record. The slide tone always gives me goose bumps.
5. So many from Jimi Hendrix, so I'll go with "Dolly Dagger."
6. White Room by Cream
7. Drifting Sun by Uli Roth from the Scorpions Revisited CD
8. Live version of "Lights Out" by UFO, with Michael Schenker of course.
9. Phoenix by Wishbone Ash
10. Moonchild by Rory Gallagher

I could throw many more on there. It's hard to pick just ten
