Inspired by Wav I need a looper! Which one?

OK, due to Wav's funkadelic and an incoming NGD, I need to get a looper straight away - cheap is good.

Any suggestions, ebay links?
 
HAd that one before--- also had the DITTO LOOPER-- I got pissed at them and sold them off ---I MIGHT have to get another --
like the compression pedal -- OI really didnt take the time to UNDERSTAND and use it properly
I ws looking at CHEAP ones..........but -- I may wait and get one of the mooers when I find a good deal .....it is fun to have the drum tracks.
 
^ I had an EHX looper before, but without a drum machine built in, I kinda lost patience with meself too - gotta sort it out and practice or I'll never improve.

I need a drum machine to set the beat for my two bob practicing...

I'm liking the NUX, does everything I want and is $99 delivered.
 
Had a Boss looper, the little $99 red one.
Could not get the thing to sync.
I'd step on it and it would never be in time.
I sold it.

But watching people that are somewhat more coordinated than myself with a looper can be an eye opening experience.
One guy that gigs at the local tiki bars is a looper madman.
He has an octave pedal and drum machine as well, so he loops in a rhythm line, then a bass line then sings & solos over it.
All with one guitar. Very impressive to watch & hear.
 
Some loopers can get complicated, and it just depends what your looking for. Do you want all the birds and whistles? or just a basic one. This is the one I have does the trick for me easy to use.
 
I agree with you folks that Loopers can be a fluffing pain...

Thus, I want a drum machine to set a beat and a looper. I also want a battery compartment because sometimes I don't want loads of wires everywhere... I'm thinking the NUX fits the bill. Anybody tried one?
 
it does seem a feature packed option--- and looks like the drum section is easier to use and slightly more feature packed than the mooer.

WHich I now wish I had kept and WATCHED the video you posted because --- I never READ the foogin instructions and didnt REALIZE I COULD have a djusted the TEMPOS of the drums (DOH!!! IDIOT! GEEZ!)

I’ve got a Boss RC-3 which I really like. It’s the only looper I’ve tried so I can’t say how it compares. I find it easy to use although it is tricky to get the timing right. Once you use it a bit it gets easier.

I had a Ditto, but sold it because I never really used it. But I have no qualms recommending it. It was easy to use and did what it was supposed to do. I just didn’t use it.

It's funny how everyone buys loopers, everyone knows that they're a really useful tool to improve and to write/play music, but not that many folks use them regularly, and many more folks get frustrated with them and out them...

I’ll admit I don’t use my looper a lot but when I need it it is very useful. I mostly use it to either write my lead part or learn a lead part. I can play the rhythm 8 or 9 bars for the part I’m trying to learn and loop it over and over until I can nail the lead.

^ yes, I will learn to use my looper. I will practice. I will improve. I will become a guitar God and have beautiful 30 year old and 40 year old women screaming with teenage lust when they see me...
