Decided to change strings and do a fretboard cleaning on the 1988 CS Strat today. The fretboard was really in need of some TLC.

So I decide to look under the pick guard. I’ve owned this guitar for about 20 years and never peeked. I burst out laughing when I found this. :ROFLMAO:

Funny how my mind works. I was appalled at the mix of upper and lower case letters and the lack of adequate punctuation between the two phrases...

LOL--- never thought of cryptically messaging these things-- DON -- you have given me a new direction in my flipping----- making future owners go "WTF?!?!?!"

oh man --- partial treasure maps--- medical warnings---cries for help-----there are SOOO many fun options----
wheres my sharpie!!!!????

Funny, that pick-guard - in the first photo - has the same green, chiclet capacitor my Made In Korea Squirecaster came with brand new...

@Don O - I see your note about the angled claw. Please watch the video I posted in the Stock Fender Tremolo Setup Thread. I have verified this. The angle does not change return to pitch.

I that a roller or locking nut????

Have you compared return to pitch with the claw angled and not angled?

Yes. No difference. I tested it myself. 2 springs, 3, 4 & 5, angled claw in both directions...no change. Still returned to pitch every time.

Found this video as well, of which may be of interest:

The professionalism ,or lack thereof, of the Fender employee who wrote that (if it came like that from factory), is appalling to me.
Especially so on a $$$ custom shop guitar.

But if the Original owner put it there as it reflects his experience, I'm ok with that.

In any case, thats some nice sh*t you got there Don.
