Capos

I use a Capo occasionally . I have had a few different ones that were spring loaded and they dented a couple of frets, So I noticed this and changed to the Shubb, which has the little wheel on the back. You can adjust the pressure to just what you need. Since I have used this no problems anymore with dented frets. I also like the fact that its small, and compact it doesn't take a lot of room on the fret.

When I do a capo on my acoustic, I use a D’Addario capo which uses a similar mechanism, and it has a really low profile.

I like it better than the spring-loaded, “Kung-fu grip” capos.

I had a Keyser spring loaded as you say Kung Fu grip. It went immediately to the garbage, after getting the Shubb.

I have two Jim Dunlop trigger capos. I don't really use capos unless I want to do shred mandolin on the electric guitar by putting the capo on the 12th fret. I use the capo mainly to change the strings on my Godin Belmont guitar that has a Bigsby vibrato unit and anyone familiar with it knows it's hard to keep the string ends in place on a Bigsby and that's where the capo comes in handy.

I read up on the Thalia Capos some time back expensive, and fairly wide . I like the Shubb came in at about $34. Nice looking Capos though.

Shubby! I bought one made just for my 12 string neck! Great quality!
