One of my wife's friends invited us to a rock n roll club at one of the local (San Manuel) casinos. I don't really like going out to these venues but I went. The place - Called Rock-N-Brews Restaurant - is lined with signed guitars - Lindsey Buckingham - Jerry Garcia - B.B. King - Paul Stanley - it's very akin to a Hard Rock Cafe. The band Du Jour was a well known Doors tribute from Los Angeles called 'Strange Days.'

Now I am not - and have never been - a Doors fan, but these Kat's just nailed every song. The energy level - which quickly spread from the stage to the immense crowd. The bass signature, which was amplified by the drum kit, rivaled any bass player I have heard in recent times. The guitarists had a Gibson SG and played everything finger-style like Krieger does.

I was impressed with these guys....

That's a great band - plenty of Doors vibe. That audience should be standing though - sitting in neat rows is all wrong for this performance.

I was at an all-nighter at the Roundhouse in London. The Doors and Jefferson Airplane. Still remember it like it was yesterday.
