Does Anyone Use a BASS Amp For Regular Guitar? (Other Than Bassman)

Listen to the stones Get Ter Ya Yas Out, all Ampeg SVT's. What a powerful sound. Cheers
Edit:
When listening to you gotta remember that around 1970 "live" recording isn't what it is now. Still, I think of this era as the definitive Stones sound. Cheers

Yes. Also check out the Gimme Shelter concert (DVD?) & "Altamont". You are listening to the original prototype SVT's. The Stones really put the SVT on the map when they used them exclusively from '69 through the 70's. An Ampeg tech travelled with them to keep the newly designed SVT's serviced when they first used them for their US tour. Check out the story on (IIRC) the history of the SVT site. Cheers

Wow! You learn something everyday! Thanks so much for the info. I'm going to listen to it tonight!

If anyone else has any Ampeg secret Easter Eggs let me know!

The stories of people throwing up from the sheer volume that Keith was using in the studio originate from this period when they were using SVT"s. Cheers

From the web:

The need to move and groove fans in the nosebleed seats made the powerful SVTs a perfect choice. The amps were so loud they came with a Surgeon General-esque warning: “This amp is capable of delivering sound pressure levels that may cause permanent hearing damage.”
