New water heater project. Just another typical job.

Well, I finally got a non raining day. Made good headway and made it up to the point of pouring a little concrete pad for the new water heater to sit on.

After sliding the heater down the hole on 2 planks, I unboxed it and needed my girlfriend to help guide it into the general area near the pad as I wait for it to harden enough to set it in place. I can't wait to get the plumbing buttoned up and the gas lines reconnected.

Just for fun as the old water heater ruptured and sprayed water all over the ground enough to keep the sump pump working overtime, we also were in the midst of a 2.5 day rain/frozen rain mix of slop to contend with. Thankfully today was dry finally.

T Rod. I hear ya on the large numbers of heaters one can replace.

As you can see by my pics, this was anything but a Normal or simple job. To say the biggest challenge was doing my first Gas fired one would miss the mark. The biggest challenge was trekking around in slop, the tight confines, and basically wrestling it by myself. The good news is I made it.

WOO HOO the shower felt great.

Wow, that's a good old fashion root cellar.

Great work Chilli. One can only imagine what a struggle that was.
You conquered and overcame some serious obstacles to pull that off.
