Do it, gut it. Sell the board on FleaBay and fill that cavity with some push pulls doing fun stuff.
Caps don't matter, as long as the value is what you want.
Orange Drops are fairly priced and are visually stimulating, but your ears will not hear the difference between a chicklet and an orange drop of the same values.
Let your wallet decide. (y)

tuners??? Awesome-- think has grovers now stays in tune-- zero issues---- ive not gotten around to the cavity wiring -- I found a realy simple solution -- play it through the MESA and the hum is minimal at bedroom levels --- Ill get around to the proepr repairs one day -- but for now this works and required ZERO soldering ;)
