NOPBD!...Anchors Aweigh!!!

....aaaaaaannnnnd the fish scale says!....
The Stoner Burst T-40 weighs in at ~11.6lbs! It’s a lightweight!
While I was hanging things from the fish scale, I checked the Gladiator GG-258...
It weighs in at a nice solid 10lbs even! Another lightweight!
Just for illustration, here’s the 10lb Gladiator:

...Aaaaand....a chart showing the mapping of active coils, and available combinations using the various controls at hand....

Many combinations to choose from...not all great, but some are.
This is what I mapped out for myself last night...I did not make the above chart.

Very nice grain and finish! Sienna Burst sounds right - same finish as Fender suitars by the same name.

I do not hae much faith in the ricker method. As Don P mentoned, the result could as eaily be the product of a low fret. If you want to send it to me, I will level that beauty for you. Do you know the radius?

34 inch scale, 12 inch radius. I can see that 19th fret is high, but I can also see that 16 through 20 are ramping up a bit, but 19 stands out...in the center.
I am very tempted to send it to you. I know that you could make this bass play like it should.
I’ve taken care of the electronics already...so it makes glorious boom sounds.
But it’s more than a truss rod adjustment that’s needed, and I’m not tooled up for that.
Thanks Ray.

I have a 12" beam just waiting to put those frets in harmony. Just say the word

This is a real Beauty Don!!! Like the Burst, you gotta like those Hummers Huh!!!

Thanks Session 5! It’s a big boom stick! I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with it!

These things are awesome pieces of kit! Even, fairly quiet when at rest, wether in hum bucking or single coil mode. Mine is more quiet than my Washburn in single coil mode.
I put some time in on it yesterday. Dirty or clean, it’s a performer. I swapped between the Peavey, and Washburn, and ran them through a few different scenarios...fuzz(parallel), distortion, clean...the Peavey kicked some serious butt. The Washburn has more of a Jazz-ish neck, which is very comfy in first position. The Peavey has more of a Precision style neck, which I find comfortable most everywhere.

Dream Amps-- well Depends........on space-- if I have the room -- The MESA F30--- and a MESA Walkabout Scout bass amp--

if not if durable practicle and small is required -- probably two Rolands -- a cube and a bass cube 20XL -- these little bastards are the PINNACLE of cheap-- solid-- (good sounding--low volume) SS amps-- and you get MODELS and pedals -- whats not to love

AND-- if I could have but 1 amp-- the big Peavey VYPR -- becasue it does BOTH bass and gutiar ;)
30 watts-- crap loads of models-- effects and "gadgets" plus it doubles as a bass amp--(again low watt --home use)
