@DonP @Robert Herndon , Thanks for the recommendation of the Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen!I'm using it based on Don P's recommendation. Great investment.
Get ahold of yourself man!So anyway, I just hit record and got nervous, only to realize that what I was afraid of was my own shortcomings. I know, deep for a Friday, but also a touch sad for a grown man.
I had a tough day, and the door came unlocked. It seems to be jammed open.Get ahold of yourself man!
Harness that fear!
Drag it in to a tiny corner, and eradicate it!
Kick a little dirt at it as you walk away...
Then go play the snot out of one of those really cool guit-fiddles you’ve got in that warehouse of yours!
Gotcha.I had a tough day, and the door came unlocked. It seems to be jammed open.
See that, there is balance in the universe! I will go get my oil can and coax this door closed so I can join you in uppity land!Gotcha.
I had a bit of a breakthrough moment today, so I’m feelin a little Uppity.
Johan... Do you have any sound clips of your recordings that you can link us to?@DonP @Robert Herndon , Thanks for the recommendation of the Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen!
I've been upgrading the Gold Studio the past month, and the 2i2 was the missing link. I've
found it to have very little latency, and the sound is pristine. Here are my most common
signal chains:
I really enjoy having separate tracks of mic-ed and D.I.'d bass. Also, I made the jump from using the Zoom R24

much luck and success in this endevour-- what are your doing to help change this affliction as I suffer it as well ... the ring finger on my left hand had the tip broken off many years ago and (I never went to get it properly set--man up move on you know the drill--) its now crooked and does the same thing --- lays flat not arched on the proper stringSo anyway, I had a playing breakthrough just now. I an too flat on my ring finger structure, almost all the time. This accounts for a lot of muted notes, and possibly many other errors because the issue permeates my playing. I am going to focus on correcting this. I will report back
I dream of this .![]()
I think this can be fixed, although you may have to work at it a bit harder than I. After all , Tony Iommi did it!much luck and success in this endevour-- what are your doing to help change this affliction as I suffer it as well ... the ring finger on my left hand had the tip broken off many years ago and (I never went to get it properly set--man up move on you know the drill--) its now crooked and does the same thing --- lays flat not arched on the proper string
