So Don O what's your thoughts about the Godin?

Well foremost, the neck is killer. I’d compare it to the PRS wide thin. The ebony board is like butter. The craftsmanship is top notch. I’m still working on dialing in the pups. Still not sure what the push pull does yet. I’m gonna take off the rear cover tomorrow and trace out the wiring.

All-in-all I’d buy another one in a heartbeat.

Thanks for your input Don O, they are amazing guitars! And the prices are Fab. Very happy for you!! Welcome to the Godin Brotherhood! Enjoy!!:)(y) Enjoyed your tracks, well done Sir!

Was cleaning the case today and ran across this. Looks like a big clue. Maybe a 1996 model. Gonna contact Godin tomorrow and see.

Just got a response back from Michael at Godin:

Hi Don,

Your Artisan TC Signature was built in October 1995 (it's a 1996 model). AAA does refer to the tops grade and the EG0266EG1 BLANV is the factory's model code. The Godin pickups were manufactured by Schaller. We unfortunately no longer have detailled specs, but they're single-coil size humbuckers. The push/pull function on the tone control is a mid range filter. When activated, it cuts half the db level at 600 Hz.

Regards,

Michel Bélanger

Very cool guitar-- very cool customer service-- and all in all a VERY COOL (hey its Canada) company as stated recently in another post where I am busting S5's hump--- I WOULD have another Godin in a minute the quality is certainly on par with the other "top" guitar manufacturers no doubt and they offer some Unique features as well---
