What you get for Christmas!

As I said in a different thread, the grown-ups on our family have stopped buying Christmas gifts for each other (no, not because we hate each other!
), so I don't really get much anymore. But my wife bought me a nice plaid shirt, and by kids got me a cup that looked like Rudolph the reendowed reindeer. But guitar-wise the coolest "gift" has not arrived yet; an early 1960s (pre T-Top, sometime around 1963-65) Gibson humbucking pickup that I got in a trade.

My wife tried to get me SOMETHING several times-- I repeatedly told her the best gift you can give me IS LEAVE THE $$$ IN THE ACCOUNT--- 
I got nothing-- I really NEEDED nothing (other than a sack full of $) so-- well there ya go-- SPent a good day watching Grandkids rip wrapping paper-- break 1/4 of the stuff we bought em--- lose another 1/4 -- the dogs stole several things---- they over ate on sugar and had nuclear meltdowns by 6 pm followed by crash and bed at 8--- so there ya go--
it was bed early in the Swamps-- lol

I received no gifts for Christmas.
The remainder of the inbound Christmas goodies should arrive later this week or next week.

My present hasn't arrived yet...
They are fugly from the back (good from the front), but that's not noticeable when your playing, so doesn't matter. Are they heavy? Do you notice any improvement>

I got a dvd drum course a while back while it was on sale that was slated as a Christmas present. Also got 2 cans of Deoxit to open on Christmas. Ordered a 175 watt Weller soldering iron on Christmas that is a Christmas present. The wife was going to get me an upgrade electronic drum set but none went on sale that I wanted to spend the money on.
Hmmm, bah hum bug. I got 2 pair of sweats in the wrong size. I wear large and got XL. I got a bedside clock FM radio with wi-fi and Google and SIRI. I listen to AM radio when I go to bed and do not want any device in my bedroom that can monitor my speech while connected to the internet. I did get a nice pair of Nike shoes, correct size, nice style and VERY comfortable.
That's just the material crap. We got some really good news at Mrs. Wav's doctor appt today. We have both been very concerned about some medical issues and the results of today's visit made Christmas for us!!!
