While I'm waiting for parts to finish the Elumi mod, I started on this one today. It's a Warmoth mahogany Diamondback body, and a showcase Brazilian Ebony neck with a Brazilian Ebony fretboard. Its going to get:

BN Stormy Monday pups
Copper taped cavity
CTS 250K tone pots with 3300pf caps
CTS 500K vol pots
Switchcraft 3 way
Tesi Switch latched kill switch
Gotoh stop tail piece
Gotoh TOM bridge
Chrome pup rings, and knobs
Tusq nut
Gotoh lockings tuners
Custom engraved neck plate (not getting here until early Jan - bummer)

This should keep me busy for a few days.

3300 pf is .0033 uF. Are you sure it's not 33000 pF (.033 uF)?

This should look real nice when it's done. What do you mean by "showcase"?

It’s 3300pf, I’m going for a really soft tone control (high cut off frequency).

Hang on, is that a Gibssonesque body and a Fenderesque neck - what's going on there???

Very nice selection of parts in every department. I've never quite decided if I like Nickel or Chrome, but there's certainly gonna be some richness and bling going on with a sound to match.

It’s all about fc=1/(2*3.1415*R*C), the smaller the cap or pot the higher the cutoff frequency (3 dB point). Most tone circuits go way to dark for my liking.

Interesting!!! When I was fighting a dark/muddy effect on my Von Herndon Doubleneck, I traced it to a 500k CTS pot with an actual measured value in the low 300kΩ range. I had long been using the .033uf/.015uf combination, but then tried a 0.01uf (K40Y) as an experiment and it was amazing!!! Even fully rolled off to zero, the tone is still 100% useable and the effect on the tone spectrum is very subtle, whereas I can roll off the tone on my Gibson SG with a Gibson 57 Classic Plus, 500KΩ pot and .033uf capcaitor, and the tone is almost too dark to use. The 0.01uf is now my standard...
