Oh, the 60's

Tuesday nights were the big night at my local (ten minutes walk) pub. Here's a few weeks worth of acts to think about

MY

GAWWWWWD!!!!
You win, what ever it is or was , Don, you win.

Did you catch The Beatles at the Cavern Club or other regular / residency type deal too?
I just started discovering / listening to a couple of early Savoy Brown records recently.
Has brought back my desire to learn some slide.

I never saw the Beatles (to my regret). The Cavern was 200 miles away. But there were other good residencies - people like BB King would book a month of Tuesdays. A couple of miles further into town was UFO, a psychedelic club and Floyd were pretty much permanent residents there. They alternated with King Crimson.

I have always been in awe about how my uncle used to see KISS before they got big in local clubs in NYC.
Your experience is like that to me but exponentially greater.
HOLY COW, you hear that @Sp8ctre, Floyd! Mere feet away!

I'm out of breath I gotta siddown.
Wait, I am already sitting.

HOLY COW!!!

When I was 10yrs old, I can still remember this song in the 60s.
It still stays fresh in my mind.

Ahh just loved the sixties!

I still wonder at my fortune at being born in 1950. The timing of the sixties was perfect for me. The teenager had just been invented during the fifties, and the whole thing was simmering nicely, ready to bubble up as I hit my teenage years.

Long John Baldry!!!
Long John Baldry spent his later years in Vancouver. I was lucky enough to see him several times in small venues. I am in awe of your experience though. What a lot of great bands to see in the early phases.

Ok, so it's not the '60s, but nice lyrics though. Which song? This one is a cover version, if that helps:

Humala bebuhla zeebuhla boobuhla
Humala bebuhla zeebuhla bop

Which song?

Humala bebuhla zeebuhla boobuhla
Humala bebuhla zeebuhla bop

I got nothing ...
Googled it, found it.
Artist name starting with "D". Clearly not my generation as I've never heard of him and after listening for 30 seconds ... once was too many times :-)
