anyway-- damn if that Master of Hackness himself hasnt boiled my auditory giblets yet again--first a trade deal leads me down the path of Marshall tube goodness with a DSL--- (always wanted a tube Marshall my WHOLE LIFE and I HAD one------Life was good)
Then-- then he starts like a good crack dealer will--- (AH the Marshalls crap-- you need a MESA!)-- and like a moth -- I follow----and another trade deal between the Master of Hack and myself BEGETS me a lovely Mesa F30 ---(Good LAWD its lovely) --- recently then --- in yet ANOTHER trade deal----(what HACK got I will NOT reveal as that is up to him in his time) off the cuff-- I mention --yes thanks for the $ and if you HAPPEN to stumble on a Roland Cube-- its one of the MINI modeling amps I have yet to rub my junk on-------well

A week later I now have a well loved ROLAND CUBE in my Doom room (pics for proof)

Its tiny--- its battery powered (or wall wart) it has "effects" built in and several "amp models" truly the best two are the CLEAN roland jazz tone with reverb and a touch of chorus-- and the "R" model -- which Im told is for RECTOVERB (another MESA ---hhhmm)
the little speaker does its job and at low volumes its very lovely-- but-- it doesnt TRULY ............djent

until you employ the small --- devious--- HACK of the MAster-- and plug in a 1x12 PANAMA cabinet -- via the small output that cuts the stock speaker and runs all to the cabinet--------(not a stock feature)
HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THINGS HOLY -- and Bob Newhart-- this little BOX KILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you cant Djent a damn quarter off the desk on the other side of the damn ROOM!


JUSt when I was become a douche level MESA SNOB --- a battery powered 10 watt ROLAND MICRO CUBE ---- smacked me upside the head and floored my gym shorts in one fell swoop!!!!!

I am humbled---- HAPPY AS SHITE -- yet humbled------

now I must go annoy some critters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you need 1,002.5 critters--- creating dust -- dirt-- and answering the question WHAT IS IN A STUFFED animal--- daily---a few dozen grandkids and mind crushing debt--- then your living man!!!!
 
I would like a nice Cube Street as I have said a few times prior to today. I forget, do they run on rechargeable batteries like screwguns and cordless circular saws?

Also Adrian, Once I bought a PRS SE guitar in a parking lot of a gas station and played it thru a Cube like yours.
 
Glad the little Cube found a loving home.
A truly underrated and often overlooked little gem.

As for what I got out of the deal, lets just say it's black.
Very black. Somehow Adrian just knew that I NEEDED a black guitar.
He's been singing the praises of the older USA made Peavey guitars for a while, yet I still wasn't convinced.
He had to deviously find a way to get one into my grubby paws.
Sending me the Craigslist adds for local sales didn't sway me.
Bringing one over for me to fondle & junk rub on helped, but I was still on the fence.
Well somehow he ended up with a USA made Peavey Patriot to flip, and it got flipped my way.

I used a stock image, as I haven't got any pics of it yet but rest assured it won't stay single pickup very long.

Strattish looks, Gibbo 24.75" scale length, Schaller pup, maple neck & board.


It's gonna be a fun project. Always wanted a 24.75" scale length "Strat".

Years ago I played one which was abused so it had some issues. I was playing with a junk guitar which looked as bad as it played. I managed to get a good tone because of the amp. These are cool little amps Adrian. I dig them.

LOL!!! When our grandkids left last week, it looked like the swap meet the next day. I almost died!!!!

That's my "private area" where I have a little peace. It's also where I give lessons. You know, it's so cool to have a young kid come over and get excited when you plug him into a tube Marshall and a 4x12 cabinet... :-)
