So while I may now live in NE Illinois the first 40+ years on this rock was spent in Western Illinois. Quad Cities area (Rock Island, Moline, Davenport, etc) Little farm community. Aledo Illinois. Population 3600. County seat of a Mercer County... population 15,000. Aledo is famous for three things.

High School Football and two CW singers. The football team from 1988 thru early 2000s were almost never out of the playoffs and added (3) second place and (3) first place state championship trophies to the case. Many times the eventual State Champion had to beat Aledo to get to the Championship game. It was awesome.

CW singer #1. Susy Bogguss. Claim to fame. She was a couple years behind me in HS. As a "youngster" I have sat and played guitar with her... once or twice, so not as big a deal as it sounds. Mrs. IbLive took guitar lessons from her. Early on, she did get nominated for some country awards. Do not remember if she won any. This is Suzy:

CW singer #2. Margo Price. Same little town. Her Mom and Mrs. IbLive lived across the street from each other growing up. Margo and my youngest graduated HS same year. Were in HS Swing Choir. Are friends. Margo has been nominated for Best New Artist in the 2019 Grammy's. This is Margo:

Did I mention small town, where like the TV show.... Everyone knows your name.

Weather.... nope.... same. Miles.... about 200 of them. Western Illinois much slower paced that NE Illinois (read that as Chicago burbs) My old county population - 15,000. My new county population - 850,000. I like my old county better, but we had to follow the jobs. I'm sure most everyone here's been there done that one.

You need to come up and hang out Adrian. There's a couple months in winter it can get blooming cold and a couple in the summer when it can get blazing hot. The rest of the year is usually pretty nice.
