Lately I've been wanting to try a nylon string guitar. My wife collects antique sewing machines and asked me if I wanted to go to the city with her to pick one up. I thought why not, I'll stop at a couple of guitar stores and try some nylon string guitars. She was in the seller's house checking out the sewing machine while I was waiting in the car. She poked her head out the door and told me to come in and look at a guitar. It was a La Patrie Etude classical, one of the guitars I was going to try at the guitar store. A quick phone call to the woman's husband, $150 changed hands and I now own this little beauty. It's taking me a while to get used to the wide neck but oh how sweet the tone is. Another win for Godin guitars.
