I thought it was another guitar will make me a better player... 
Don’t know about better player, but a new guitar in the fold tends to make one pick it up more often so as to get to know it. More playing can’t be a bad thing.I thought it was another guitar will make me a better player...

I must confess My Original Fender necks were wearing out the frets so I had custom necks made same wood construction no change in sound.
And most of my guitars are 100% stock. My amps make the difference. Next I only buy USA made guitars only due to resale value.
Now drum sets USA only import drum hardware is trash.

Good video. I like this guys stuff generally, and he's a good player.
Not to break it down point-by-point but the highlights to me were:
- Soooo right about old pickups. That nonsense is pure snake oil.
- He's wrong about Thinlines. I've owned too many of both styles to agree with him there - the semis have a thing of their own going on and a pronounced midrange bump over the solids.
- Very right about the fretboard material (or types of wood in general I think). Makes no difference if its rosewood, maple, boogerwood or richlite
- Generally agree about the Strat vs Tele bridge pickup although I have played a few Strats that whoomp
- 10,000% right about buffered pedals. True Bypass is BS marketing crap perpetuated by "boutique" builders that were either too lazy or incapable of including a proper buffer

My 2016 Gibson SG, My 2016 Gibson Les Paul and my Von Herndon Doubleneck all have the big .951" necks. That's my #1 must-have, along with 24.75" scale length...
