I much preferred the guitar playing to the singing style - the early metal singing style doesn't always do it for me (this may be a dangerous thing to say, but I was never very fond of Black Sabbath other than some guitar parts).
 
The singer is the core of the band. He not only sings and plays lead guitar, he writes most of the material.

The drummer is his younger brother and the keyboard player is their father. He is an old high school
buddy of mine. We were close friends and have kept in touch all these years!

It's really funny, none of us knew Jim could play piano because it wasn't cool when we were kids so he hid the fact
his mom made him take lessons...
