Sad news this evening...our friend - Mom's steel guitarist/Acoustic Guitarist and band member of over 40 years - Rick Davis - has been in poor health of late and was moved to comfort care this evening. He spent every Christmas with us for over 40 years...These things are never easy I guess. It means we should cherish each and every day, because tomorrow is not promised...

Cool pics of your friend, Rick. Looks like a real musician with all those different instruments. Is comfort care the same as hospice care?

Looks like Rick has some loyal long standing friends.
If "comfort care" is the same as hospice care I wish him an easy exit.

Very sorry Robert--- I hope its at least fast and painless at this point? As Gasket said "an easy exit" --It sounds from what your implying he will not pull out of this current tail spin?

Sorry about this, Robert. My Mother-in-Law went into hospice last year.
Robert, we will keep your friend in our thoughts and prayers.

It's tougher in this case because Rick really was a part of our family...we date back to the 1978/79 Buck Owen's Studio Sessions.
