I have to do a project where I engineer some collaboration. I need a solo laid down on this number.

L11 Always There

The chord changes for soloing on this section are:
||: Fm7 / Cm7 / | Ab9sus / Dbmaj7 / :||

Record the guitar solo over the open section before the final melody. Here is the sheet music. I believe the solo goes in on line "D"

This is a technology class...I'm learning DAW and mixing and things...right now I'm doing some collaboration deal where I need work from others.
 
Oh Boy Chris, I hear so much in that piece. Originally I heard Somebody's Watching Me by Rockwell, but melded the 2 together and it was ehhhh,

Then I thought of my funky jazz type guitar playing buddy Carl.

Check him out at the 1:50 mark or even Tom before him.
I was also hearing some Brother's Johnson type sound out of your clip.


On 2nd thought, maybe something along the lines of Carl's Leads in this Hotel Real clip. Not soaring, just smooth jazzy type.

I wish I could for you Chris. BUT one, I am not that good, plus have no way to record or upload anything.

Maybe Robert or someone else can base something in the style or ideas of the likes of Carl and make it fit for you.

Also found a little lesson tip he posted that might add something for your need or even something else for your actual playing instruction.

While I know I am not exactly laying down some leads for Sp8, I felt this is one killer example of Tom Pricipato who was playing alongside Carl above. Here is another awesome clip of him with the legend, Danny Gatton
