My dream car isn’t made, yet (at least not for commercial production).

My dream car would be a fully electric car with a 300 mile range that can be recharged from solar power, in addition to plug-in charging.

I’d still pick the guitar, though!

with a lifetime battery that never needs replacing and turns into a Surf n Turf dinner once the car is ready for the scrapyard thus negating the environmental hazardous waste once the battery is shot.

If the batteries were disposed of in a landfill they would be very bad. This is true. However, electric vehicle batteries are not just thrown away. They can be repurposed or recycled. In many cases, an EV battery that is no longer suitable for a vehicle still has about 70% of its capacity and often can be reused for other purposes.

Recycling technologies can stand some room for improvement, but one Canadian company claims to be able to recover 100% of the lithium.

There is room for improvement all the way around, but the early internal combustion engines suffered a hefty amount of verbal abuse when they were being developed, too! There is no reason to think things can't improve for EVs, either. Just because there are issues now does not mean improvements should and can not be developed.

Don't get me wrong. I do love the older muscle cars.
