My Stratocaster Family...I think I need at least ONE more.

That's a nice looking axe there gball! Would you please give us a bit of a run down on this stringer.

Probably the only "Strat" style guitar that currently has my interest although I haven't had the chance to play one yet, and I am scared that if I do I will be parting with some money.

here's a link to the specs:

How about a well made -- USA manufactured--- quality guitar with an amazingly fast slim neck and top notch build qulaity for LESS THAN A FENDER MIM strat -- or even many of the Squire NEw Strats.....

PEAVEY USA

2 point trem quality USA MADE product..........................a WHOPPING --- 250.00 (yes the decimal point is in the RIGHT PLACE)
and yes I would put this up against ANY of the guitars posted previously in this thread
AND I would dare say in a blind taste test/shootout many here would NEVER know the difference !!!
USA made, strat style electric guitar

perhaps but -- I own USA Peaveys-- Im telling you -- unless the Suhr is taking me to Vegas and getting me LAID -- it is no where NEAR worth 18 TIMES the amount of the PEavey -- its JUST NOT--
there are only so many things WOOD -- metal-- and wire can do-- at some point its a diminishing returns deal-- is it PERHAPS better-- or fancier wood -- or (nothing is more DURABLE than Peavey trust me there) -- its just not --
at some point its SILLY money your paying FOR A NAME period -- sorry--

I play high end stuff in the stores-- I search out REAL 59 LEsters and REAL 55 Chet Atkins-- Rickis and MAyones and all that stuff -- TBTF I have NOT fondled a Suhr.....but I fail to see it ever convincing me its worth the price.

I had 37 Pre-Cbs Strat's and Scott asked about just the 1961 now I'm down to three I will never sell the 1961 My sister in law wanted my 1964 Ice Blue with stock gold hardware I gave it to her she took it to a guitar shop to have the strings changed and set up they offered her $35,000.00 for that Strat.
She said no my brother gave me that guitar.

You know how many high end high dollar guitars have passed through my hands and none of them felt they were worth the money they cost.

I know a great deal has to do with the fact I'm a mediocre player, but I do have ears and I can feel what a guitar plays like. I just can't
justify the money to keep them. I still play the hell out of the $200 Spectre Les More made in Uranus Black Beauty and get wonderful sounds...

I'd really like to get my hands on something really old and classic to see if it would ring any bells...

Wow! 37 Pre CBS Strats! Now that is some serious stuff right there! I've never even touched one!

My main player is a 1986 Parker Fly Deluxe they were not in production until 2003 I got it used for $850.00 it's one of few guitars that I have that stays in tune
plays like a dream and the stainless steel frets don't eat the strings next year seven years on that string set see if I can get a decade out of a string set.
