A lovely morning it has been, although I didn't get home until 2am, and it was even later than that before I could sleep, I thought of you all and wanted to extend my best wishes for your continued happiness and prosperity.

Today I need to do a few things and I am off to a most relaxed start. It is my first day of 10 year old Quinten living with his Mother and the first day in 4 years that I haven't talked with him over breakfast.

A band I used to play with - The Travellers - has been asking me to come and help them out. They lost their drummer to a heart attack and may lose the bassist who is recovering from a stroke. Whilst I feel much compassion, I'm not sure I could withstand a steady diet of early 1960's covers again, plus juggle that successfully with my full time commitment to the new metal band we've been forming for the past 5 months.

Be grateful I don't live closer. I would likely be knocking and asking your wife if you can come out and play.

May today bring all of you an unexpected pleasure...

Good morning to you, Robert. Evening here. My youngest kid is out playing basketball, my wife is in town at a Joni Mitchell tribute concert, my oldest kid busy on his computer, and I'm sitting with my foot up high (torn ligaments still not healed properly), watching Joe Bonamassa tearing it up on YouTube.

Hope things turn out all right with Quinten.

Hope everything goes well with Quinten, and wishes to you as well for continued happiness and Prosperity. Happy to see you have been safe through those horrific fires. I wish all the best to all here on the forum living in California, that everyone will stay safe and your homes be untouched. My heart goes out to all who have been affected by this atrocity in some way.

Thanks Robert, All my best to you, your family and Quinten.

Also, thanks to all you guys as you share and encourage me with my guitar learning and playing efforts. It means a lot in my efforts to improve and learn all I can. These kinds of messages from our members are exactly what makes this not only a forum, but a fellowship.

Me too.....Me too...First day without him here wasn't easy for me...

Hope that foot heals soon!!!

one thing wwe can be sure of is that as life goes on, change is sure to follow.
As you miss your son, I miss my grandson, when we are together we are best buddies. He is 12.
Gahr good luck with your healing, I hope it goes well and fast for you.

Good morning to everyone, especially you Robert. It's 8:17 PM here but it is morning for me :) I worked a graveyard shift last night then attended a funeral this morning. I didn't get home until 3:30 PM so I've been sleeping since then. I have another graveyard shift tonight. The funeral brought home to me how much family means. I wish you and your family all the best. Change is often good even if it doesn't seem like it at first. Have a great evening everyone.

Sorry I missed this. How did that happen?
No worries, mate! Slipped on a patch of ice on the first day of frost here about three weeks ago. Luckily nothing was broken, but I have torn ligaments on both sides of my left ankle, and a twisted knee. I have been unable to work for three weeks, and I wake up overtime I move in my sleep. I'm on sick leave until today, but I need to go to the doctor again tomorrow to get the leave prolonged. It is getting better, but quite slowly. I can walk on it for longer periods every day, but it's not very stable, and too much weight over time really hurts. It will heal alright, but the doc said it would take a bit of time. The worst part is the boredom, really.

You are smart not to push it. At least we can play guitar sitting!

Good morning to all...I'm sitting down here on the southern border on a no notice TDY. Nice hotel and all, but I'd rather be home.

My morning view...
