Fishman Loudbox Hiss

Could be a bad ground, possibly replace input wire.
Caps or rectifiers, possible bad capacitor .
It hisses without any inputs. Must be the caps or rectifiers. Question - what is a rectifier? I know of a rectifier tube socket on tube amps, but that is it. Thanks

Sounds like the ocean waves sound in a conch shell.
Add lots of spring reverb and play Dick Dale songs.

Sorry, to make light of your dilemma.
I have read of resistors causing hiss, but in the case of tube amp anode resistors.
when I am stumped at some point I will try the rattle test aka "The Fonz"

I tried that fix. No luck!

This exact thing just happened to me. I'm not very good with electronics. I guess it's time to search for Dexoit on YouTube. By the way, does RVA stand for RIchmond, Virgina?
…as to the Deoxit…it is a great thing to have around. Good for cleaning pots(volume and tone etc…not cookware), jacks, and so on. Available at many hardware stores, and Amazon, among other places.
