Abigail Ybarra Hand Wound and Signed Pickups

I'm into old wood vintage guitars most of my guitars are 100% stock. 10/27/2018 we had a great gig private party Jeff ran sound for us Jeff is a killer guitarist. Jeff how are you getting that sound
out of a Marshall easy Jeff it's not a Marshall. Then we had the original virtual Zeppelin drummer and a great singer jam with us. My main guitar is a Parker Fly Deluxe has to be the worst sounding guitar I own but it plays so easy and the amps I use it doesn't matter what guitar I play. New green wood guitars sound dead it takes 10-15 years to cure the wood.
My Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul's sounded OK but now they are 15-16 years old and just sing. I changed the pickups on them it made them sound more clean the burstbuckers sounded like mud.

I would play the guitar as is and bond with it. If you can flip that pickup set for $1k go for it. That's me.
I play a Strat unplug-ed to warm up and work my parts out before a gig at home. I do love Fender Strat's.

I'd try them, if they sounded great then I'd put them in my favourite strat and play them.

Those "initialled" pickups are the ones that were made by others under Abby's supervision, as mentioned in the first post. Cheers

No, these are not wound by Abigail. They are wound by others that she "Supervised" and then she initialed them. It was
nothing more than a sales ploy by Fender. All of her personally hand wound pickups are signed "Abby" not initialed...

It's an absolute insult that Fender does this and makes people think they are getting something they are not. The selling of these "initialed" pickups
is tantamount to selling fakes IMHO. Many people spending their money truly believe they are buying a product wound by hand by Abigail. It also
makes it a hard sell for the truly hand wound set because people think they can buy a set of her pickups for $300...
