I'm into old wood vintage guitars most of my guitars are 100% stock. 10/27/2018 we had a great gig private party Jeff ran sound for us Jeff is a killer guitarist. Jeff how are you getting that sound
out of a Marshall easy Jeff it's not a Marshall. Then we had the original virtual Zeppelin drummer and a great singer jam with us. My main guitar is a Parker Fly Deluxe has to be the worst sounding guitar I own but it plays so easy and the amps I use it doesn't matter what guitar I play. New green wood guitars sound dead it takes 10-15 years to cure the wood.
My Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul's sounded OK but now they are 15-16 years old and just sing. I changed the pickups on them it made them sound more clean the burstbuckers sounded like mud.
So...should I try the pickups out?
