A long, well matched radius beam is great for fret leveling for sure.
However, there are times that you may either not have the right size, be confronted with an odd size (15.5" radius for example) or have a compound radius. I would think that in each of those instance, doing the FB in 3rds with a straight beam is an acceptable.
I would appreciate any advice and or experiences other have had in this area of comparison.
