Fake Gibson Bumblebees:

Ripping out bathtubs....building decks-- replacing shocks on vehicles-----large ---hammer wielding rip and beat and hammer type "handy"
soldering....tiny little precision micro work----not conducive to my "scope of ability"
welding-- 2 pieces of 2" pipe-- sure.....no biggie

soldering a new cap in a lester IN the CONTROL cavity---- pure HELL

Well, there’s your problem.

You can’t solder with a hammer!

TBTH -

- fine line dexterity is NOT my strong suit anymore (hence bass and previously drums preferences ) -- I used to shred -- now -- I aspire to shred--
Essentially
5 broken wrists 1 crushed left hand -- every finger has been broken at least once on both hands (Except the middle finger on the right hand -HA!-go figure) -- and the crushing of both the right metacarpal and trapezium bones -- plus arthritis-- and carpal tunnel issues means -- dexterity is LIMITED-- to try and hold solder and wires and make tiny little precise maneuvers in a control cavity ---- cant do it-- can work post hole diggers all day long -- swing a hammer-- bench press 250lbs-- etc........ though after those activities-- I cant even write my name for several hours----Im assuming some nerve issues exist as well.

I'm with you drums were my passion I was in a critical 4 wheeler accident broke my neck scapula ribs front and back nerve damage for life good thing I could afford the best neurosurgeon
in the world I don't look cool on stage sitting down on a drum throne and after a gig it takes a few day's to recover. I get the audience fired up from time to time it feel's good make people
happy. It made me sick selling my business and commercial property Doctors orders. I still feel blessed my friends have been dropping like fly's 15 so far this year plus my wife.
If I didn't play guitar in a band I would have never met my dream girl after sound check I walked outside to cool off the rest is private. Life is grand.

If anyone is interested, I have one left of the rare as Hen's teeth: Black Ladybug .022uF. Made by Rustoleum-Testor back in the day. For my TTR brothers and sisters, I'll let this vintage holy grail cap go for a ridiculously low price of $125 plus shipping and insurance....

In the past, I've never settled for less than cheapa$$ RadioShack green polyester chicklets, or orange drops. Bumblebees, tropical fish, PIO, and the like are too fancy for me. I bought a kajillion caps when RS was closing.

Now that's something, most active people can break two wrists multiple times as they only have two ... Now down in that swamp how many wrists do most people have? Haaa Haaa Haaa
right wrist broke 3 times (well wrist twice forearm once-- same general cast shape)
left wrist twice...

MR Smarty Britches, SIR. ;)

Since we’re comparing wrist injuries...

I sprained a wrist when I fell off a stool that I was standing on while painting my son’s room.

I, like, had to wear a brace for two weeks.

Pretty wild, huh.
