Digitech Bad Monkey...

For good time stack a Boss Blues Driver and a Bad Money. Keep the gain or volume on 11 on both.
We call 11 chicken legs, under certain light it looks like chicken legs. Jump your two amps together and season to taste. You gonna like it.

Hey...that's a pedal I would like to get next is the Boss Blues Driver and I heard good reviews on it. Which one would you recommend? The BD-2 model or the BD-2w model?:hmmm:

I have the BD2. Waza is isn't made in Taiwan or Jabip, or wherever. It has better components. Try both. It's not going to be much difference between them.

I like this overdrive too...

3 band eq, metal housing, and cheap as dirt. The booklet has presets including Texas Blues. Clone of the Marshal Guv'nor I think.

I love the only one know. I had no idea there was two of the Smurff Pedals.
I will look and let it be known.
I use the Blues Driver on stage for several things like Eric Clampton' angry blues sound. It's not over the top. It lovers higher out put pickups. My toilet bowl blue Strat and my Epiphone Casino. I have more expensive OD pedals. This one is great and pulls in early fragile sounding blue. Tears from only one eye.

I heard so much about the BD that I had to get one. It was peer pressure - "all the cool guys have one". It definitely now has it's place.

I've heard the Green Monkey can be smoother, almost creamy. I have a plethora of fuzz pedals for that. I do love smooth fuzzes. Then again, my Sam Ash has a used GM for 40.00.

I would go with the Waza one. Even out of the box stock, these sound awesome. I really like the way my Monte Allum modded one sounds with a Fender Blues Junior.

The Daddy O is another excellent pedal. I got one a bit back.

Here's the Digitech "Screamin' Blues" pedal which is most likely a competitor to the BOSS "Blues Driver". This might be the next pedal I get if it's the same price as the BOSS or even both. It would pair nicely with the Bad Monkey.

Those are really nice. I wish I would have got one when they were around. Some day I may get a used one.

I tried the Bad Monkey pedal by itself with head-phones and it sounds pretty cool. It's not super heavy distortion but a great classic rock kind of vibe to it. I also find the Bad Monkey makes a great booster pedal with other overdrive/distortion pedals which I have. They are the BOSS Distortion DS-1 (orange coloured), BOSS Overdrive (yellow), BOSS Metal Zone MT-2 (black) and an Ibanez Metal Screamer pedal made in Japan. I can almost get Marshall like sounds through my trusty Fender Twin Reverb amplifier which is pretty loud and heavy to carry around. Since the Twin Reverb doesn't have a distortion channel it makes a great clean canvas for other overdrive/distortion pedals. The Bad Monkey is bad ass.:dood:

I think one reason (or 2) that folks like the Bad Monkey is the four knob setup. It’s got a bass and treble pots where many other OD pedals only have the one tone pot. To my untrained ears, it just seems to give on a tad more adjustability.
