Hurricane Michael...

...well the bad news keeps coming. Looks like hurricane Michael is a Category 4 and could still get up to a 5. It's aimed directly at my house in Panama City.

I hope the people there are safe and I hope this thing somehow simmers down...

ANd here is the worst part -- it takes YEARS to rebuild -- been there --- many times---

There are parts of the Fl Keys that are still not rebuilt or even touched since Irma-- well over a year ago--

As you can see, Mexico Beach was all built directly on the coast. These were high dollar houses and everyone knew there was a potential for complete loss
when they built them.

The homes in Panama City however are not on the beach and are miles inland, but I believe the devastation is similar, but not as complete.

My oldest daughter used to work at this Waffle House when she was in High School...



...and here is a Bank near the Mall well inland and away from the beaches.
