cord conundrum

♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪ I found a new cord-- ---one that wont hurt your head--- one that wont make mouth your mouth too dry or piss in your bed...♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫

Ok, I prefer functionality, reliability, repairability and resistance to EMI/RFI when shopping for a cord...I have used Whirlwind, Fender, Mogami, you name it....and the best I have ever used - for price, EFI/RFI resistance and functionality. These have (4) conductors - 2 positive signal paths encased in a weave of two ground braids. I like double 90° ends:

Monoprice 1.5ft Premier Series 1/4-inch (TS) Right Angle Male to Right Angle Male 16AWG Audio Cable (Gold Plated) - Monoprice.com

Or, these for one 90° and one straight...

Monoprice 20ft Cloth Series 1/4-inch TS Male Straight to Right Angle 20AWG Guitar/Instrument Cable - Blue Pattern - Monoprice.com

I have found MONOPRICE to have some great product and prices.

so-- my beloved "curly" fender cord has withstood much abuse-----including puppy teeth....dog ----pulling?-- the dog gets it caught on a foot--tail-- leg and run to attack the UPS man and yanks cord from ----amp or guitar-- once PULLED amp onto the floor! messing up a totally prized 40.00 Fender Mustang---

I need a new cord-- but a good one--- one thats got style--- one that wont make me nervous --wondering what to do.....on e that makes me feel when Im with you....one that wont hurt my head--- one that wont make mouth to dry or make my eyes to red --

--thats a lot of typing for an OBSCURE Huey Lewis reference---

I really wish I could turn back time and save your cable. Any one knows about puppy training, it's me. I have been through every kind you can imagine. From a damp news paper on my snoot to a rough bath and my face push into stuff that wasn't even mine. The bright side is I have not soiled my carpet in ages.

Solder >cable>jack=cord
"Now thats funny I dont care who you are!"

I think any but the cheapest of instrument cables will do you fine in a home studio.
I have read stay clear of the molded end ones; the really cheap plain ones that can be had for $1.99.

I have 2 Kirlin 10' cables with molded ends that have seen pretty much every other daily use for at least 2 years.
the 2 pack was $13.99. I say every other day because I use one for a while / couple weeks then use the other.

I found one in a drawer that has taken the place of Ol Curly--- but I am on the hunt for NEW Curly---- dunno why --- just like the curly ones....
