Long Way To The Top - Solo Parts Only:

I been going back over old, improvised solos, and picking out things that I liked and figuring out how I can use some of those parts in newer solos. I never felt like this solo was very AC/DC-ish but it seemed to fit the vibe of the song. I pulled out the solo parts here, so you don't have to hear the entire song.

VON HERNDON - LONG WAY TO THE TOP - SOLO GUITARS

Thoughts on the arrangement????

I don’t know about AC DC ish, but it rocked for me. Did you play both parts?

Thank you, Don! I didn't use an octaver, instead, I played the dual octaves on separate tracks old fashion styld. The second half of the solo was a late night - somewhat buzzed - improvisation.....

Nice BAG pipe sound if you know what I mean Tobias.:D

I am finally focusing on listening to audio posts at home, as I am on mostly during the day at work.
Sounds great, Robert.

Love Bon era ACDC, as I have posted numerous times.
Another Malcolm rhythm song I think I can handle but the muting and timing is a little tricky.

I found playing along with recordings too difficult; I cant keep up.
I have gone back to practicing riffs and chord progressions but hope to get back to playing with the records as I value the timing training and splitting focus between what I am doing and what is going on in the songs.

I can relate with what you are saying jtcnj, when it comes down to playing along with recordings.
