I’ve played through some Line 6 stuff, and it does not behave as my other amps do. I’m glad it works for you. It’s too...”squishy” for me...and not the good, chocolate cream pie kinda squishy...I’m talking the “oh my goodness, what did I just step in” kinda squishy. It just doesn’t feel right to me.
Gibson Lab Series amps were solid state, and had a solid feel to them. They reacted well to playing dynamics. I had a L5 for a while. Great SS amp. Bought it from a friend, and he politely asked to buy it back, so I sold it back to him. It wasn’t exactly “light, and/or portable” though.

I had a Spider IV 75 and I never made friends with it. The tones were just not right and anytime you changed profiles you may have been blown across the room...

I repaired a Line6 Spider 75 or 150w or something head for a friend at work, turns out the whole output module let out the factory smoke.
I played it for an hour or so at least 3 or so times.
It had a ton of effects and presets and emulations.
No matter what I did, it just never felt "alive", not sure how to say it.
But, similar to above, I have read and tend to generally believe the audience will not know the shortcomings gig wise.
I spoke to the owner and discussed some of what he played on the presets he made.
He is a legit gigging part time musician with a day job, I am not near his skill level.
But I riffed around on similar things.
I wanted to like it, but could not at the time.
In this context now I can.
But I dont like it.

I auditioned my PRS through one of these. The controls took a little getting used to. I could make it work though.

No. They sound nice but don’t do anything I don’t already have in my Mesas.
The Jubilee’s do that medium-gain crunch thing that Marshalls (real ones) do better than anything else. I got high-gain to spare, but that Jubilee tone is unique and calling my name.

Listen here starting at about 1 min in. I dont think the Katana can do this, but a medium gain, say 18w, I think gets it.
It's just not the same. Tool for the job, yes, but almost makes you cum, nope.
