My Guitar GOD! Who is Yours???

A long the same path of the great guitar players is the guitars the pick or the guitars the pick them.
First the girls. Many are just fantastic guitar players but their guitars are an accident. My information comes from rig run down, the ladies know very little about what they are playing. Why should they, it was her boyfriends or fathers. If she bought her guitar it was because of the color.
The guys are almost perfect as bad. Page has that Les Paul because Joe Welsch thought he should. A bonus from a record company helps but a lot of these guys go back to playing the weird guitar or junk they started with. Brian May still plays the guitar his father built over 50 years ago. There so many others that I name and more I'll look like a show off. I have bought guitars of Amazon and Fleebay.

Why did I think for a minute anyone could follow the tone of my post...

...it never fails. Ask someone to pick ONE of anything and they start comisurating and wanting to add more.

If you could only listen to ONE, that's right ONE guitar player from now on...Who would that ONE be???

Hmmmm...Respectfully, I see the question as somewhat one dimensional in a multi-dimensional world. To that end, if I had to choose ONE and listen to only that guitarist/band, it would have to be something new and not old classics re-hashed. So, in that spirit, I would have to choose the Nameless Ghouls from Ghost.

HOW about these two fellas------ i think they qualify ;)

Well, I'm sticking with the OP, who's my guitar GOD (not who I would only listen to from now on). While i have many rock and blues favorite players, this is my hero. Saw this guy live, in a small venue around 1980. I was sitting about 20 feet from the small stage. I had just bought my first 12 string a few years prior and was just blown away at how much sonic space one guy could fill a room with, just him and his guitar, while sitting on a chair. Something like just sitting in your living room.

(the recording quality sucks, but heh...)

It is one dimensional and that's what I was after. Just curious who people would choose to listen to if everyone one else was gone. Thus I chose David Gilmour...

I guess I did kind of change the gist of the question didn't I...

This statement brought back memories of Buck visiting our house and he, Mom and me, just sitting in the living room strumming and singing along on acoustics
