I'm too decrepid to remember this. Can you repost the link to this? Pretty please...![]()
Ha ha... Anyone with $4,400 that is... :dood:Metal amp anyone can buy.
I agree 100%, Man..once the bass and drums kick in the tone - which I found too nasal on its own - just clicked.
I need to build one...It rhymes with “Ratomaster”!!!
Let's see...
A guitar sound that is nasal on its own when under high gain, but sounds good when surrounded by drums and bass....?
Hmmmm....
You do know what you’re describing, Robert?
It rhymes with “Ratomaster”!!!
Close, but not at all the same. There is no "ice pick" effect that you get with Strat's at high volume. Our bassist is very mid-rangey - like Geezer - so my guitar provides a lot of the bottom end, and the trick is to get a huge bottom end and still have a cutting high end. It's really hard to explain.
To my ear, a Strat never sounds tolerable in a mix, but that's just personal preference.

Ha!
Just teasing with you!
I do know what you mean.
I’m just crazy enough, though, that once the engineer got me dialed into nasal territory, I would have at least tried the Strat!
Not all Strat pickups are ice picky.

Yeah, no way I would drop that much on an amp...just unnecessary I think....

I just look at it as tool's and if I want to get the job done cost is not a factor. Example if my job is a mechanic will I use Walmart china made tool's day in and day out I think not.
Will the Snap-On truck replace the broken tool's at my shop once a week yes.
Now producers one of the smarter ones I met and wanted to produce me at that time in my life was Ted Templeman I had my life planed out but if it was ten years before I would have done it.
