AC-DC Lives!

I hope this is true. And I hope they are able to bring Cliff Williams back from retirement too. An «as-close-as-possible-to-the-original» AC/DC lineup would bring back some much needed balance to the musical universe.

On reading this - My mind teleports:
It is around the fall or late in 1979 I'm 15 and AC/DC is touring.
I'm not a bad kid, a bit of a hooligan but no arrests or major trouble, and a good student.
My life at home is troubled and I do seek things that bring me some joy and escapist light heartedness.
Some of that is in drinking and drugs - but never hardcore.

Most of it is the joy of music, and as I progress from my earliest casual radio, then intensely, The Beatles roots - harder rock including the F'awesome AC/DC!
I know most of the albums extremely well by this time.
The raw nature of much of their song content fits an adventurous 15 year old male quite well.

Sex, drugs, and Rock 'n Roll.
2 of the 3 had been sampled and savored, but alas, the legendary, all knowing, yet elusive, Power of the Vagina had remained a mystery.
But I digresss...

My motley crew of buddies and I have talked excitedly about getting tickets a couple of times but have not done so yet.
Our lexicon regularly includes quotes, references, or audibles from said albums. (Oiy! Oiy! Oiy! ,...... T-N-T, etc.)
A couple of us, me included, are still trying to scrape the funds together.
Funny I dont recall how much it was; I'm thinking around $30. with chipping in for gas and scoring a little weed.
Phila. Spectrum - all of us were intimidated about going into NYC to MSG it probably was.

News Flash: AC/DC singer Bon Scott found dead of apparent alcohol pois.......(news cast fades out)
I hear now what I repeatedly heard in my mind at that moment and often in the coming days:
The anguished cry of Bon at the close of Shot Down in Flames.....

Picture this!
Sicily 1937 - I feel like Sophia from the Golden Girls LOL.
Sorry for the ramblings. It just pours out sometimes.
