That sucks! I hope he pays back the on call duty and lets you off the hook when he returns...

He already covered me for 1 week when I went to Nicaragua a few months ago. So I have owed him a week for a while now. When he gets back, he will owe me 1 week. We already had this worked out a long time ago, I'm good with it and so is he. I get 3 weeks off per year so I can save the week he owes me and take a 3 week vacation planning on him covering for me on the second week. This way I'll get a full 3 weeks off. No on call, no onsite. I can't believe that I'm going on 1 year there already!!! DAYUM time flies faster the older I get.

Sounds like you have a good set up! I can't believe it's been close to a year either!

Yup, I'm pretty happy here. I get the respect that I believe I'm due. Respect from the owners, my manager, co-workers and customers. Getting my paycheck doubled doesn't hurt either. Paid medical insurance and 3 weeks off per year are all icing on the cake!
