You can REALLY hear the difference between the 24.75" vs. the 25.5" scale length in this video. It's like night and day. My dauighter found this video and played it for me while I was sitting in the other room and I told her, "He's not playing a Gibson in that video...No way." She was amazed that i could tell from the next room.

It's a night-n-day difference how the scale length makes the individual notes sound.

That's a Suhr Doug Aldrich Signature (17k) in the bridge...

what scale length is the Ibanez???

Not familiar with that guitar, so I am not sure. But the phrasing - especially on the 'G' string - has a lower frequency than a Stratocaster, so I would have to guess 24.75" scale...????

Here's the most dramatic example of what I hear...listen to the difference between Jake E. Lee and Zakk Wylde in Ozzy...not the EQ on the surface...but the frequency of every note.

The 25.5" scale stands out dramatically.

The difference is more subtle with some players. Its less dramatic with EVH and Dave Murray, but I can still hear it....

The tone from the neck pick up with a little fuzz from an old Fuzz Face, tremolo from the amp and a dab of wah wan to high light a few phrases. I like the same thing but with just the middle pick up.
This tone is not overwhelming but really get people moving.

MY Favorite Stratocaster Tone.............

o.k. not really--- but I DO WANT A PEAVEY FALCON NOW --- damn it-----

Yo Adrian...guess what? I just saw today at the pawn shop a Peavy Strat almost like the one in the video. Ain't that a coincidence?

I thought you traded them off????

No--------- I traded a LOT but I kept the "cream" of the crop ----Ferengi man....Ferengi.

To quote my wife who posted this on facebook that day--- "I just watched my husband spend 45 minutes loading a Subaru FULL of amps and guitars --- to go trade for 1 vintage guitar--- and when I walked in his office after he left---I couldnt tell anything was gone!!!"

I only traded the closet and case sitting dust collectors that I wasnt using or playing for the most part----the Doom room is still WELL STOCKED-- ;)
