Ever screw in a Bigsby?

Very nice work kev!! The only Bixby that I have seen that I like is on Blackies Godin Richmond it sure is a pretty guitar.

It concerns me sometimes how much I get and admire your posts, Kev.
Great job!
I think some Gretsch look good with Bigsby; just seems like too much hardware though.

Maybe if you get your Silkyn fixed and play the Bigsbyfied (Bigsbytated?) patients through it, for rehab therapy while the screw holes heal, you will find a new and spectacular sonic worm hole.
Maybe make a few cosmetic changes, and sell them on QVC as the Kevsby, with all the background music on the show Kevsby originals.

The run on Bigsbys is because I ran out of of stuff to do! I have much more important stuff to get into but I can't play with the laser and it that's too long.
I ran out of fun stuff to do at work years ago. I thought it would be cool to put a monkey spin in a jelly fish. Monkey spines don't grow on trees you know. I had to wait for the little bastards to fall out and breat their blooming neck. That is rare as a jelly fish volunteering to get a spine. I wrote a proposal to the government of the United States of America for a grant. That was some time ago and in another fifteen years I will take that as a very polite NOPE! So it goes. The backers in the photo are positive about the future of this project and even more positive after they passed away.

I thought they were wating for their pizza to be served.
They look hungry and cranky, blood sugar crash and all that.

I think politicians are in need of spines more than jellyfish.

I put a Bigsby B5 and Vibramate on an Epi G400 that I had. It looked really cool and solved some of the neck dive issues but I hated it so I sold it.
I love the look of a Gretsch with a Bigsby but have never played one.

I had some bad GAS when a few of the Gretsch models showed up on Adorama or ProAudiostar at great discount prices last winter; the guys over at AGF are great at finding those deals and posting them as PSA (public service announcement I think) threads, as ninjaking67 knows as well.
I usually post them here when I see them.

Have I ever screwed in a Bigsby?

No. But I have used the Vibramate kit to install a B7 Bigsby on my Les Paul Custom.

I also added a roller bridge I’ve had sitting around for a few years in a box.

The performance is decent. I’m hoping for even just a little better after I switch to locking tuners.

To be honest, Kevin, your Bigsby looks a little close to the bridge. It looks like the break angle is going to be pretty sharp over the bridge. Both the stock “Bigsby” on my ‘74 SG and the Vibramate kit place the tension roller further back from the bridge.
