Cell Phones...

I would never do banking or any financial stuff on a cell phone. Some texting and with so many apps on my phone and iPad I talk to friends in Europe a few times a week. I love the technology but I don't know who can hear what all I say. They made it then they are smart enough to dip in my bank account.
 
to Late KP--- if your online -- they (they) can get to you -- if you have a flat screen tv your on stage 24/7 IF they want you --- the traffic cams and security systems can watch your every move the system is VERY specific as well. ---
I ACCIDENTALLY-- somehow-- put one of my phones in my pocket and triggered the 911 emergency call.....I went to use the phone and saw 911---on the caller I.D. I hit end------- and went on about my day ---- I didnt REALIZE it had actually called-----5 minutes latter a SHERIFF was knocking on my FRONT DOOR---- wanitng to know if I was in "distress" -- I said "well yes a cops knocking on my door!!!" --- he had NO Sense of humor---- anyway--- my point---this was a work cell -- NOT registered to THIS address or ME at all-- but our offices over 40 minute drive away--- and within 12 minutes of my accidentally making the call---- a sheriff was ON MY DOOR STEP----
45% of the time I cant make a CLEAR call from my house----- but by GOLLY they triangulated the presence of that 911 call EXACTLY -----to the HOUSE--- the phone was in --- in under 15 minutes and I dont even live in the CITY!

your movements are precisely known --- and if you carry a phone or not there are SOOOO many cameras (traffic-- security-- etc.) Credit card receipts--- banking transactions --- amazon google-- it all has you in its grasp---- resistance is truly futile-----

I understand you clearly! We are always being listened to. Like " Hey Siri " the lady that lives in my iPad. I have a gizmo that looks like a hockey puck next to me and " hey Alexa " she will do many things. I asked her complex math questions and get the answer in blinding speed. It's not always their name but some sounds from the TV will light them up. Scary and they are always on listening to not just every word but every sound. I try to say important things in Spanish or French. Miss lucky talks on the phone in Chinese. Pig Latin really gives them a tuff time.
 
and TBTH -- it is nice to know that IF I HAD -- well fallen down and couldnt get up----I could dial 911 BEFORE I pass out -- and a portly Sheriff would waddle up and knock on my door------ setting off 9 dogs who would trample me to death before he put down the cheese burger and tried to get in the door----

Apparently telemarketer scammers are getting a list of people's cell #'s and one called my smart phone last week. I thought it was real at first. The guy left a message and said his name was James Morrison, an officer collecting for the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) saying that this is a time sensitive matter and to have my lawyer call him. The strange thing was this guy had an East-Indian accent...so is James Morrison a common name in India? I later found out from other people that it was a scam and that they are just trying to scare people in collecting personal information so they can get money. Anyone here watch out for them calls because they are bogus. Apparently your cell # is handed out to these scammers so beware.

Always be aware Blackie. I have call display I never answer my phone unless a name appears that I know. On my cell phone the name of the person calling comes up on my screen if they are in my calling list. If no name appears I don't answer it. Don't answer your door if you see the Police at your front door call the station to see if they have been dispatched to your home. The scammers were in Police uniforms coming to peoples houses threatening them they had to pay money to the CRA or they were taking them in. These guys will try anything.

Oh so you heard of it too then? Wow...it sounds like they go all out to fool people. The ones that are mostly taken advantage of are the elderly which is a crying shame. Thanks for confirming this because at the time I thought it was real. My anxiety went right through the roof until I talked to my sister-in-law. She said I would have gotten a letter from the CRA stating I owe money and not just a phone call. She re-assured me it was a scam so I feel pretty relieved right now.

Some mechanical voices look at it as a new art movement. There is a very large deaf population that look at it as a new Jazz movement. Falling rapidly out of popularity because they can't hear it and everyone else has seen enough. I'm not sure what side of the fence I fall on.

"Them" are watching more and more.
Them ARE reading your thoughts, not directly but with bot data collectors and other methods recording your preferences and habits.

Someone gave us an Alexa, my wife likes it; I dont find it so interesting.
BUT I am convinced that these devices are being used to surveil people without their knowledge. Because they CAN be used to do it.

I dont trust that smug bitch one bit; Alexa I mean, the wife is pretty solid.

I think I am due for another viewing of Metropolis.
