Band Logos/Mascot Creation:

Are you forming a band if so the members in the band need to be involved have each member write ten names each and vote on it. You are making a brand name

In my situation our new band is called Gold Creek. I has more than one meaning and Gold was first discovered in Juneau Alaska in Gold Creek so it resonates in peoples minds.

That's a great approach. In my case, things are a bit different.

I'm currently writing/producing an 8-10 song CD. With my contract drummer, I will record everything.

I also copyright and publish everything through the family's publishing company so all royalties are ensured. Cover songs licensed through Harry Fox Agency.

I'm creating the band name, artwork, etc., simultaneously.

Once the project is completed, social media accounts will be created and, much like my solo blues venture in 2011, we will promote the effort worldwide.

The 2011 blues release still generates airtime royalties.

At that point, I feel my goal for this project has been achieved. If it goes beyond that, Awesome! I already have studio musician's who have agreed that they would tour with this project for hire if it materializes.

Its just a dream right now, and I really have no plans to market the project in the USA. My focus will be Europe, Australia and Japan....but my first target is Iceland.

Robert whats your target audience. The first band I was in at age 13 was a seven piece horn section drums bass and guitar. 45-65 year olds was what attended our shows not what I wanted.
Next year we went 3 piece. The bands on top in Seattle I was picking the guitarist brain's. I could throw names out that's not the point. Only 200 new songs per year get air play
only two writers have 90% of the market share. How many people do you know that have a top 10 hit under their belt I can count it on one hand.

Best of luck on your Quest.

Thanks, Man...music is always unpredictable at best. I would say metal fans in general will be the target. Once the copyrights are approved, i can start posting originals...That will give you a better idea of our sound...

Name the band Robert. If you get a head injury you have a 50/50% chance of knowing your name.
The band name will be a simple next step.
That half baked boxer that named all his kids George and even every kid George and I think his grill George. A great move, they will have a tuff time putting that gofer in a nursing home. It court all he needs to remember is his damn name.
Should I follow suit every one will see right through it. I can't go changing the name of all my stuff on this short notice. New stuff is going on be Kev or Kevinpaul or Kevin, I already found a snag but you have time before you go off the beam, unless a head injury fowls it up. Duck and a hard hat till you have everything in place. Robert!

I'm actually in a full time rock/metal original music project already, but the Motorhead cover/original band project is my personal project.

I am totally devoted to just enjoying this venture and seeing where it might go. You just never know how things will turn out until you try...
