Here's the finished cover with the lead guitars completed. just needs final mastering....The guitars hit harder on this version than on the original....Listen to the ending closely. The tone is HUGE!!!!!

Also, notice this PHENOMENAL drumwork. NOBODY plays drums like Phil Taylor on this song because of the intricacy and difficulty. This is the real deal...Notice the frequent splashes and repeating triplets.

Dudes....I am speechless. Offers coming in from as far away as Europe to book this band that doesn't yet exist....

Ever since my first dreams of having a band, my aspirations have been to play Iceland. I got this notion after seeing an article in a National Geographic magazine and my childhood of isolation made me feel like I had something in common with the isolated nation.

I'm already making contacts with the Icelandic metal scene and radio...

I was singing to Motorhead's in this voice since I was 14 or 15 and people discouraged it. It got to where we were praticing with tuners to make sure our bends were spot on....and playing everything except what i loved. Now I'm just wanting to break away from all that...

Really well done. The singing just rips...you nailed lemmy. And the tone of your amp and guitar are friggen awesome.

Dude!!! Thank you!!!! I cannot say enough about this STOCK Gibson Les Paul and the Blackstar ID-Core 100 Watt Solid State....

That was fantastic Robert.
Can’t wait to hear the final mastered track.

That was really, seriously good!

I hope you get to Iceland one day (soon).

Thank you, guys! I have big ideas for the final master.

Yesterday, I re-tracked a perfect guitar lead, but decided to keep the first "one-take" lead you all heard in the original link for the sake of spontaneity.

My concept for the mastering is to retain the high energy feel, but enhance the track for radio.

My thoughts are to double the vocals with a very slight delay to make the vocals sound fuller. This is not a delay effect, but actually altering (very slightly) the time signature of one vocal track.

Regarding the descending "duh-duh-duh" phrase, my thoughts are to pan it right-center-left (ala "Whole Lotta Love") and also add a panning effect on the ending phrases so the listener feels/hears stereo movement.

There are 4 rhythm tracks. Two are low octave and two are high octave. I have been listening to the track playback and I think if we delete the low octave guitar, the overall audio quality of the track is clearest and allows the bass to come through more cleanly.

This would also be more of a live sound as only one guitarist could not play both the high and low octave tracks.

What you guys think???

I liked the full version better.

That's the one that went out for mastering. I went back and "perfected" many parts of the song and it just didn't sound right, so it went out in it's original form with all tracks cut in single takes....
