I need feed back -- I need info and I need a good reason for why I should not trade a BUTT LOAD of stuff gathering dust in the doom room FOR one of these..............or not---

oh you know I will ---but I just wanted to make you all feel like you have some input ;)

It’s one knob shy of a full compliment....but you’re probably ok with that...I would be too.
The neck pickup is too close to the fretboard...is that ebony....not environmentally friendly...hug a tree for every fret cut in to that board...SQUIRREL!!!
 
Check that PEAVEY to the right corner in the VIDEO yeah BABY ---

ANyway -- this is why I posted I cant find much info at ALL on this 3 knob job slob Bob --- is it live is it memorex do they float on a boat in a moat ???
Can you have them wearing sox in a box while eating pop rocks????

My '91 three knob special is my #1 guitar. The pickups are the best PAF type I've ever played. According to what I could find on the Internet they were only made for a few years in the late 80's. early 90's and were called Les Paul 1959 revisited or something like that. They measure about the same as stock 490's but are much nicer than any 490's I've played. The three knob specials also have an ebony fret board. They are the best sleeper SG "specials" around. They are lean and mean. Mine has a slight problem with a flat neck with no relief and truss rod is maxed. I took it to the best luthier in Vancouver. He was very impressed with the pickups and the guitar in general. He did some fret work to make up for the lack of relief in the neck and it plays like butter :) He said the guitar was too nice as it is and didn't want to try straightening the neck. He said it may change the feel of the guitar which was very nice as it is.

sweet -- what is the neck thickness front to back??? THICK 50's --slim 60's or in between?

It is fairly thin but not 60’s thin. The neck is one of the things I really like about the guitar but as always you never know until you try it. I go through a lot of guitars. Like you I’m addicted to buying and selling. I’ve never even considered moving this one. It is one of the very few I actually took to a luthier to get it up set up just perfect. I bought it on a Craig’s List deal in a Starbuck’s parking lot. One strum and I bonded with it. It is that nice. Yes, it’s Ferrari red. The finish is very nice.

Well Sir I am always on the hunt--- and I have several that fit the (never going anywhere) vibe--- oddly as I play this chess game of trades and flips--- the ones I LOVE increase and the FLIP FODDER gets less and less.......oh well -- I guess the end result will be a room full of killer SHITE!!!! --- horrible horrible situation but I will power through!! !

Thanks for the info -- not much on the interwebs about these critters--- 2 vol. 1 tone seems to PISS the "faithful" off ---- much like zero nuts and robotuners--- but that LP JR 100 is NOT GOING ANYWHERE without a serious fight---
and I got back up just lying in wait!!!!!!!!!!

I now have the Sabbath song Masters of Reality playing ceaselessly in my head.

i dig the 3 knob, i believe I have seen the tres knobres before over on ETSG, but for some reason what I am thinking of may have been an Epi.
