ITs likely a down market item like the ones used on the high performance racing bikes -- on the track-- at insane speeds
Ive been riding over 40 years...... I cant think of a time that "power" steering (or another GADGET that could in theory cause a wreck (???) if it fails on the road----)
would have ever "helped" aided or made riding any EASIER --- hell how EASY is it supposed to be -- whats next cruise control, seatbelts and "self driving" motorcycles ??
One needs to be "ENGAGED" as a motorcyclist... I can tell as Im riding (BY SOUND) if my engine oil needs topped off, if the chain needs lubed.... by FEEL if one of the tires is a little low on air ..... etc etc -- if I have circuits/servos/ and gears removing those sensory contacts ....... I might as well drive a car.
The less engaged you are on a bike --- the less time you will SURVIVE while riding a bike-- period.
That tech is track level -- like all the gadgets and gizomos on multi million dollar formula one cars..... but that isnt needed on your Hyundai to get groceries and take the dog to the park...... while some (mostly R.U.B.s) who buy bikes to polish them in their garage and brag about what they have will "love it" .....I for one would not own a bike with it.
Yamaha, another answer to a question that didnt need asked.
Yes I agree, don't need the power steering, just another gismo for something to go wrong, they put so many gizmos on, most people don't even use them, most of it is there just to increase the price..
