I like my Man Cave clean and in order , so I spent 3 hours decluttering and getting rid of some stuff that I felt was time for it to go. And in the process make some room. I was leaving some guitar stuff on my work bench and said this gear has to be put in its own space, so that's what I did. I am now happy to say , I am back to where everything has a place of its own. Plus I have a reputation to keep, when my Buddies and their Wives come over they like to go into my Mancave to look at the planes and guitar gear. I love it because the Wives always say to my buddies this is the way their shops should look, everything is in order and organized. And for years they still do this . My buds get so upset, your making us look bad LOL! My Wife gets a big charge out of it, I luv it!DSC00311.JPGDSC00307.JPGDSC00306.JPGDSC00314.JPGDSC00309.JPGDSC00317.JPGDSC00318.JPGDSC00330.JPGDSC00331.JPGDSC00329.JPG

Thanks guys. This is my number one Hobby has been for the last 25 years, and I hope I have many more to come. Like guys who play guitar, you know how much you enjoy it! To me there's nothing like building a plane then going to the field to fly, its so exhilarating!!! I have always enjoyed Music as well and playing guitar, it has its own perks.

I've always been intrigued by the remote planes. Think they are really cool, but so afraid of destroying one right after building it. Kind of like losing a model rocket you just finished as a kid. Only worse.

Its one of those hobbies at times where you have to absorb some the cost, at some point. I remember when I started flying my Instructor told me I should have two planes to start, because chances are you will lose one in the time you are learning, and he was right it did happen. But you have to remember that was back in the day before technology brought in the buddy box system. Today I can hook my Transmitter up to the Students, I have full control of the Aircraft until I switch it over to him. The beauty of this is I can take over control at any time. In the past you had to get the plane in the air with the students transmitter then try to fight with him to get to take it back so you could save his plane when he or she got into trouble. It was tougher back then , but now this new system has sure taken this to a new level, and has saved many fatalities . I have been an Instructor for years now, and believe me when I tell you it works.. But regardless of how good a Pilot you are things happen , especially when you are pushing the envelope . Students are aware of the potential for loss before they engage into the hobby. I fly many many hours and have had 2 complete right offs and have had some bumps and scrapes, do to my actions or the actions of someone else. Needless to say it has what I call minimal damages considering the years I have been doing it . To me this is the greatest hobby in the World! The sky is the limit in this hobby it has so many avenues you can go into.

I have seen folks use the new GPS loaded drones----- you push "launch" it launches-----you fly around and when its time to land you push home and it comes right back and lands within a few feet of where it took off------

However that "toy" costs about as much as I paid for this.

so.........no "drone" piloting in my future

Looks like you could fit a squirrel in the cockpit of that Pennzoil plane. You are giving me ideas....
