I had so much fun on this motorcycle back in the day. It was a monster on the street, fast and light. I wish i still had it! They are also highly collectible.

Mom and dad started with a Honda 350. Of course dad waited for me to break mom down by letting me get a 125. That opened the door for dad. :pound-hand:

They moved up to a Honda 550…. Which a bit later I also got a 550. Mom and dad rode all over on their 550. My future bride and I spent many a cheap date on mine. Trips to the city for a big night out at McDonalds. That was my last bike…. Other than the 125 Honda motocross bike I got about the same time.

After the 550 mom and dad got a Goldwing. They rode that sucker all over the country…. Literally. Rode that one till they decided they no longer really enjoyed biking anymore.

With light weight and decent torque allied to a race developed (hence RD) chassis the bike was pretty much an instant success. In the post learner/middleweight market the RD350 was every inch a street sleeper just waiting for a bike more than twice its capacity to pounce on and figuratively shred to piece
 
those were the SHITE back in the day Norm .......

the current yamaha R1/R1m -- carries on that pedigree.. with (hold on for deer life) 200hp, 430lb fire beather

Yea Baby , I remember these day's!! I sent a few 4 cycle Bikes that were larger displacement to the curb.;)
