Does anybody have a set of Gibson pickups with quick connects you don't like and want to get rid of? I don't care what they are, just need a set with quick connects to put in a Tribute I want to sell and I don't want to spend a lot so I'm looking for something on the cheap, like the 61R & 61T that came in the 2014 studios that no one likes and can't sell.

I just thought it couldn't hurt to ask. :fingersx:

Let me go look, I think I do have 1

I have a 490t under chrome, but it's only 1, not a set.

You can buy quick connects off eBay for really cheap, and just solder them onto any pickup you have . As long as you get the 2 colors correctly matched they work fine.

The ones I have won't do I bet. My only disconnect ones are my P90's in my SG Classic

Steve, what did you end up doing?

I have the opposite problem:
I want to install quick connect leads to the pots on a non quick connect guitar to avoid cutting off the quick connects on Gibson pickups I have in case I want to sell them, or put budget pickups back in and sell the guitar.

I have some quick connect adapters, but actually it got put on hold and I haven't done anything yet.

I did what you're talking about with some Gibson pickups I didn't want to cut the quick connects off of. The problem I had was those adapters didn't plug in very well to the pickups leads and didn't make good contact. I ended up not using them.

Exactly - I looked a bit but wasn't sure which where the correct match.

I've looked and looked, but I can't find where I ordered mine from. I bought a set that had both male and female connectors (2 of each). The male connectors worked great for plugging in to the PCB, but the female connectors don't fit the pickup end connectors like they're supposed to. I eventually got one of them to make good contact, but it only lasted a short time before it died on me.
