I have the old center of gravity issue- it's not where I think it is.

I remember when he did that. It took a few months to measure the height using cameras, laser measurements and some other cool technology but indeed: he surfed that insane 80ft wave at Nazare, Portugal. A couple years earlier he surfed a 60ft wave in Chile.

The guy has cajones the size of wrecking balls lol I thought it was an achievement to bodyboard a damn 12ft wave that wrecked me

It was an achievement, this dude is just flat out nuts.

That's incredibly cool.
Never surfed, never will. Closest I ever came was water skiing.
But I admire the skill & determination that it takes to conquer a once in a lifetime monster like that.
I dig watching surfing competitions . Can only imagine what it's like to "shoot the curl".

Biggest wave I ever got was close to 9-1/2 ‘ I managed to get down the face then hit the spin cycle,, so no no NO damn way would I try something like that..
